by Alison Weir; The Secret Life of Josephine: Nappolean's Bird of Paradise by Carolly Erickson.  Following the Book Chat, Melissa will demonstrate how easy it is to us a "Playaway"-a book and player all in one.

This coed event will be an upbeat beginning of the fall activities at the PTSC. After a tasty breakfast, enjoy the wit and wisdom of Rick Kogan, the host of "Sunday Papers with Rick Kogan" He has been at, various times, a writer for the Chicgo Daily News, the Chicago Sun Times, and the Chicago Tribune. In addition, he has has written eight books and appeared as a frequent guest on national radio and television stations.

Dr. Lauren Gerber, Ms.Ed., PSY.D, Licensed Clinical and School Psychologist, will lead a community discussion of the book everyone is talking about—Dr. Madeline Levine’s “The Price of Privilege: How Parental Pressure and Material Advantage Are Creating a Generation of Disconnected and Unhappy Kids.” The focus will be on what is going on with our kids and what is driving well-meaning, affluent parents to be OVER involved in the wrong things and UNDER involved in the things that kids need most!
