Instructor: Gary Midkiff

During the 20th century the United States fought five wars and threatened to fight a sixth which became known as the Cold War. We began the century fighting The War to End All Wars in Europe and ended the century fighting a war in the Persian Gulf to protect an oil rich country from an invader. When we take all of these conflicts and walk through them in chronological order, we will begin to detect patterns that connect our foreign policy and discover a shift in the way we view ourselves and our place in the world. Join amateur historian Gary Midkiff as he examines each war from political, economic, and military perspectives.
